A.P CHESS PLAYERS, HARIKA AND HARIKRISHNA WIN

In the Asian individual chess championshipbeing held at Mashad in
Iran, Andhra Pradesh chess players Dronavalli Harika and Pentela
Harikrishna registered their third wins.

In a fifth round match held here on Friday, Harika won against Nafisa
Muminova of Uzbekistan with 46 moves. Grandmaster Harikrishna needed
96 moves to beat Kazakistan grandmaster Rinath Jumabayev.

In the fourth round, Harika had lost to Mongolia’s Munguntul Batkuyaag
in 25 moves while Harikrishna had drawn against Jiang Ji Bu of China
in 41 moves.

Now Harikrishna has four points in his account and Harika has three and a half.
